Eurydice
Eurydice was a main-stage straight play at the University of Central Oklahoma, opening and closing in November 2017. For this production I was a First Hand in the costume shop as well as one of the two Assistant Stage Managers. I was given the opportunity to learn how to and assist in the creation of the wigs for the three stones. The process began by using Wonder-flex to create a helmet like base for the wig, this was done by the designer during a fitting. Once the 'helmet' bases were ready we filled pantyhose with colored tulle and created the large abstract shapes the wigs were soon to become. Once there was a basic shape, we then covered the tulle with colored wig hair, using spray adhesive to hold the hair onto the pantyhose.
